… just slightly out of context, and made for the joy of sun streaming in the open windows…that infinite moment of seeing the other see you as they see you seeing them…the way an Eskimo might harbor imaginings of 100 channels plugged right into the igloo, circle and circle of blue humpback whales dancing an aberrant song in the white sky of his mind…Shing a shong and shun will shine...Eyes …windows …souls… It's the passage of much and many between old friends that goes without saying; the finishing of another's sentences, intuitively. What we have here, then, are perfect secret-handshake guitar scatter and swell; sublime groove-loops based on 'that knowing look', and electronics biased to maximum human setting. And that's just the first piece… The recording continues to unfold and yield itself as the inscrutable, unsolvable mystery based on recurring dreams you only seem to remember bits and pieces of…but you know… you know the answer… you know… "fair are the sails"…mentioned above; goes to show with the right winds you can really cover some ground on a good day… "we understand that"…and we do; what we understand is that we know every secret we've ever needed to know… "very hungry and very thirsty at the same time"…is a state that the perfect song sung at the perfect moment can easily remedy… "- -" will tell you that it's someone from far, far away, perhaps even 16 men lost on an alien world, that are sending the internal messages… "taj mahal"…undeniably referencing the majesty of the structural ode to the enormity of true love… and finally… "tweedlebug jamboree"…taking you home (where, incidentally, you've always been) to grasp the knowing of nothing and everything as a heartbeat; a funny little joke you made up by yourself…

Selling points
------------------------
-first release in three years from Portland, Oregon's revered Bugskull, no longer a band, but the solo efforts of Sean Byrne.

-Big White Cloud is the name used by Byrne's collaboration partner on this release, Phil Quistlund, formerly of the also revered and from Portland Sone, who's 1995 album Holiday & Sport on Darla certainly was ahead of it's time in merging an assortment of fresh sounds.

-earlier Bugskull albums on labels such as Darla/Pop Secret, Road Cone, Scratch, and Shrimper were all critically championed, and all sold well.

-much as Bugskull has made music that has fit in the camps of indie rock, sound collage, space rock, etc; we firmly believe there is an undeniable spirit and humanity in the work of Sean Byrne that elevates his records to a special level that makes use of such genre specific labelling not entirely accurate. Music being a matter of opinion, we stand by our man, and trust you will agree.
